Magnetic makes managing tasks so easy.


Let us tell you more about all the fancy tricks you can use to manage your tasks. 


To start, you will need to click on Tasks on the bar at the top of your screen.


1. Selecting multiple tasks

  • You can select multiple tasks by clicking on a white space on each of those tasks. Do not tick the tickbox unless you want to mark that task as "complete".
  • When the tasks are selected, the color of the tasks will be darker.


Now that you have selected multiple tasks you can do the following:


2. Bulk drag and drop tasks

  • Hover over the left side of the selected tasks and you will see a "multi-direction" icon appear. 
  • Click on this icon and while holding the button down, drag the group of tasks where you want to move them to. 
  • Release the button to drop the tasks at their new position.


3. Bulk Edit tasks

  • Select all the tasks you wish to edit at the same. 
  • Hover over the "Bulk Actions" dropdown menu at the top of the screen.
  • You will see several options Bulk Action Options on this menu.
  • Select the "Edit" option.
  • A "Bulk Task Edit" screen will open on your screen. 
  • Make the changes where relevant. e.g. Bulk adding an owner to all the tasks.
  • Save to save the changes to all the tasks you selected.



4. Bulk Add Owners to tasks

  • Select all the tasks you wish to edit at the same. 
  • Hover over the "Bulk Actions" dropdown menu at the top of the screen.
  • You will see several Bulk Action options on this menu.
  • Select the "Edit" option.
  • A "Bulk Task Edit" screen will open on your screen.
  • Select the task Owner.
  • Save. All the tasks you selected will now have that Owner.



5. Retrieving "Completed" or "Archived" tasks

6. What do the colours on tasks mean?

 

Colours are used to give you a quick visual representation of task due dates.


Green      - Task has not yet become due.

Orange    - Task is overdue by less than a week.

Red          - Task is overdue by more than a week .
